Heart and Kidney Yang deficiency
With Heart and Kidney Yang deficiency, you’ve overstressed your body’s ability to recover from over-exertion and cold.
This page lists Yuck Phlegm reviews that I’ve received or have found on the net.
I shall revise it from time to time so it may not be up to date.
If you click on the book’s image (at right, below or above, depending on what device you’re viewing this), you should get to an Amazon page where you read the introduction and first chapter without paying.
I hope it helps you decide if the book would be useful for you.
The reviews I’ve found have been very complimentary. Until November 2019 I carefully copied and pasted reviews on Amazon onto this page. However, Amazon have now produced long screeds of ‘can and can’t’ dos. As I can’t be bothered to read them, let alone understand and act on them, I’m just putting a link here to the UK Amazon page. If you live elsewhere, and Amazon realise it, they may direct you to another of their sites. |
I’ve just read your excellent book “Yuck! Phlegm!” and really appreciate the wealth of information – and the considerable time & effort you’ve clearly put into it. (It deserves to go ‘viral’ !!)
I tried to submit a review on ‘Amazon’ but after several attempts on their ‘merry-go-round’ I read the fine print & discovered that I wasn’t eligible to do so because you must spend 40 pounds minimum through them – & my purchase of 3 of your books only amounted to 38 pounds!!
So I have submitted my review (see below) on your website & hope that this may be beneficial to other potential purchasers – and you of course! Please feel free to use any of it if you consider it to be of value to you. (Mark Vial 24/10/17)
‘What an excellent book!
Comprehensive information which clearly explains different phlegm types & causes and the linkages between them & various health symptoms.
All of this is then backed up with a variety of suggested remedies. A wealth of well researched & clearly presented information. Can highly recommend. With much appreciation from the other side of the world!’

Yuck! Phlegm! by Jonathan Clogstoun-Willmott
“Excellent self-diagnosing signs and symptoms written in simple language and easy to read.
There is a sense in which the reader feels as if they are sitting in the consultation room just having a discussion with a family practitioner.
There is good signposting to medical doctors if there are any red flags and these are clearly stated in the book.
The chapters on how to eat well and useful tips on using herbs and different foods to clear phlegm are extremely helpful.
The appendix on preparing herbs shows just how hard it is to get it right but doesn’t stop anyone trying and also points out the dangers of getting it wrong.
However, the writing is conversational rather than scientific and without any robust evidence of substantiation – other than many thousands of years of Chinese medicine!
For that reason, much of the writing is anecdotal.
While the text is really easy to read, there are no references as to where the information was found other than the bibliography.”

Yuck! Phlegm! should be currently available only from Amazon. You can buy it in softback or as a download to your Kindle or Kindle app.
By the way, I’ve seen it advertised as being downloadable ‘free’ from a site other than Amazon but BEWARE: that site has received unfavourable reviews from users (eg ‘unlawful and continuing deductions from credit cards’) and in any case they have not approached me about it, let alone for permission, although they know the book is copyright.
To buy, click the image down below:
If, having read Yuck! Phlegm! you would like to review it, I invite you to do it here!
For example:
– how easy was it to read?
– did it provide the information you needed?
– how practical was the advice?
– when you tried the advice, what happened?
– when you did the wrong thing (ie NOT recommended!), what happened?
– what else would you like to see in the next re-write?
– would you recommend others to buy it?
– if not, why not?
Of course, don’t feel bound by the above suggestions. Feel free to write what you want!
