Looking for the perfect diet to achieve a specific weight, body shape, or mass? This might not be the program for you! This system explains food energy for health!

So if you’re interested in a food system that promotes long-term health, strengthens your immune system, and could potentially extend your lifespan—then you’re in the right place! This approach is centered around individualized nutrition. What works for you may not work for someone else, and in this session, you’ll learn how to tailor it to meet your unique needs. It’s not difficult, but it does require a bit of learning and self-discovery. The Chinese have been using this system for thousands of years, though modern generations often lose touch with its ancient wisdom.

The basics of food energy for health are simple, and you can start applying them immediately. A key principle is that your body’s needs are constantly changing—they fluctuate day to day, even hour to hour, depending on the season, the weather, and your emotional state.

Exploring Food Energy – and Your’s!

As you explore this system of food energy for health, you’ll gain valuable insights into yourself. If you have children or babies, these techniques can also help you support their health individually. You’ll begin to understand why certain people get sick in specific ways, and how particular foods can disrupt their health.

More importantly, you’ll shift from focusing solely on a food’s nutritional value (though that’s still important) to understanding how the energy of food affects your own energy. You’ll learn which organs are influenced by different foods, offering a perspective that goes far beyond traditional Western nutrition.

This isn’t some hidden, mysterious knowledge—it’s been around for millennia. There are countless books and online resources to explore, but nothing beats having it explained in person, where you can ask questions and dive deeper into the concepts.

This session is designed to give you an introduction to a nutrition system that’s entirely personalized, rather than a one-size-fits-all solution.

Jonathan, who will be leading the session, has been practicing Chinese medicine for nearly 50 years. He’s taught thousands of students, written numerous books, and developed an extensive website on Chinese medicine. His patients come from all over the world. He’s knowledgeable, opinionated, and even funny at times—you’ll almost certainly enjoy the session!

Just a fair warning: you might develop a lifelong fascination with Chinese medicine!

Handout notes will be available for those attending.

(We have other sessions explaining Chinese medicine, such as on Cupping (November 16th 2024), the Five Elements (January 18th 2025), The Chinese Clock (February 22nd 2025), and possibly the most interesting, the Meaning of Blood (March 22nd 2025).
